The dictionary of playable words, © 2000–2011 Kevin Atkinson. Modified: filtered to three- to nine-letter British English words, with an offensive-word blocklist removed. Used under a permissive MIT-style licence.
The definitions and etymologies shown for found words, written by Wiktionary's contributors and extracted with wiktextract by Tatu Ylönen. Modified: trimmed to short definitions and origins for words in the dictionary above. Each word's panel links back to its Wiktionary article, where that entry's authors are listed.

The pictures shown with some word meanings, by their individual photographers and illustrators. Each is reproduced whole and unmodified, and each names its own author and licence: a short credit under the picture, and the full attribution — with a link to the file's page on Commons — in the view a tap on it opens.
Only files whose licence allows commercial use and redistribution are used: CC0, public domain, CC BY and CC BY-SA.
Word frequency data by Robyn Speer, used to pick the common words levels are built from. Modified: intersected with the dictionary above and cut off at a minimum frequency. That derived list is itself shared under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International — the game's code is not.
wordfreq's English data includes the SUBTLEX word lists by Marc Brysbaert and colleagues, which are freely available, and text from OPUS OpenSubtitles.
A list of offensive words, by the LDNOOBW contributors, used when the dictionary is built to remove entries from it. None of it survives into the shipped word list, so this credit is a courtesy rather than a licence condition. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

Press a letter on the wheel and drag through the others without lifting. Your word builds as the line passes each letter.
Release to play the word. Drag back over the previous letter to undo it, or release on empty space to start again.
The empty boxes above the wheel are the words the level is looking for. Find them all to complete the level.
Any other real word you trace still counts, even though it won't fill a slot. It's tallied in the header — tap the count to see everything you've found.
Stuck? The hint button reveals one letter of a word you haven't found yet — three per level, with the number left shown right on the button. A hint narrows things down; you still have to trace the word yourself.
Tap any word you've found — in its slot, the bonus list, or a crossword square — to read what it means and where it came from.
Classic fills word slots around the wheel. Crossword uses the same wheel, but the words interlock on a grid instead. Each has its own endless run of levels.
Themed sets of crossword levels, each with a background scene of its own. Levels unlock one at a time as you complete them.
Optional, and free. Sign in and your progress and settings follow you to any device — recovery codes stand in for a password reset, since there's no email on file.
Choose a theme and background, or turn on larger letters, higher contrast, or reduced animation for a calmer wheel.
Your progress is saved on this device. With a free account it follows you to every device you play on.
Enter your username, one of your recovery codes, and the new password you'd like. The code is used up when it works.
These are your recovery codes. If you ever forget your password, one of these codes is the only way back into your account — there is no email reset. Each code works once.
Save these somewhere safe before you continue.
Your progress and settings are saved to this account and follow you to every device you log in on.
